Even more unfortunately, this allows lazy shit parents to simply blame "online communities" for their children leaving them. Muddying the waters for parents that are legitimately concerned about why their child suddenly stopped talking to them.
It's really just a shit situation all around.

There are other reasons. Parental alienation, when one parent alienates the children from the other parent. Cults often convince people to cut off their family. And abusive partners do the same. Unfortunately they usually do this by convincing the person that their family/parents are the abusers.

This is interesting. I don't have many things I reread or rewatch anymore. When I was younger I did it more often, now I always think "I'm so busy I don't have time for that". It's easy to forget that it's still bringing us value to enjoy things we already love.
