Yup, that's how I do it. Let's say I've got ten REM CDs, they'll go in order of age oldest to newest.
Still not sure decided on the Hendrix, Jimi or Jimi Hendrix thing yet. Popular opinion seems to be surname first!

This is my dilemma. I've recently relocated all my CDs but they're in a completely random order. Feel like the way they do it in a library/shop is how I should be but then I'm certain I'd be exactly the same as you!

I'm fortunate enough to have a games room which I'm slowly turning into an "old media" room. Got most of my CDs, DVDs, BluRay, VHS, books and magazines out now where there mostly originally games. Whilst streaming is so simple, it's nice to be able to just pop something off of the shelf :)
