First, good to see your influence as a subject in Bill McKibben's "Here Comes the Sun"! 2nd, US solar will skyrocket when UL approves "balcony solar" as a consumer product like Germany's done. In 3 yrs, 1M+ there have hung a 400W panel or two from a railing/window sill. No permits, just a wall plug.

If they've recently ended the 2025 program, or it's just greenwashing, I'll retract that part, but solar is the absolute way to go for data centers around the world, as Apple has certainly recognized.

The truth is in the middle -- the best will be service agents who can add "the human touch" while consulting something better than a stiff flowchart or script. Water use? As low as five drops per query, all recycled or less than what a human might use. No need to exaggerate.

Re: babies & bathwater, Linux is not a panacea. The app can simply be recast as a non-US-hosted website.

Apple+Google pulled the app, but that's not the hill they want to die on, Apple having dodged not just bullets but cruise missiles from DJT's (not over yet) tariff caprice. Seth is not a techie, but apps can be easily redone as a simple website, kept away from US reach. Plus, VPNs.
