No update on the bear who spent the last couple weeks killing goats, chasing people and dogs, and smashing pumpkins, but we can’t stay out of the woods. It’s our whole thing.

After a 6.5 hour, slo-mo sink-related disaster, I finally called it and told this taskrabbit guy that I know he tried but he made things exponentially worse. My dog’s all runnin’ with her dress unbuttoned, screaming but Momma I love him

I fell for it again. My dog clanged the metal garbage can and her empty bowl and barked at me. I thought she was extra hungry and gave snacks. Then I remembered she does this if I don’t appropriately move from what she considers the day portion of the house to approved Night Areas. I never learn.

This is the fee I pay to buy hours to work. To make money, to order more dog supplies. Which are delivered in big cardboard boxes.

Next door neighbors have 6mo foster puppy. They love each other. Today she invited him to cool off in the shade under my car after a hike.

My boss is a chihuahua-pit bull-poodle and she rules me with an iron paw.

I have attained a pristine pair of the same boots Molly Ringwald wore in The Breakfast Club. Not similar, but 1980s Ralph Lauren deadstock. Decades of searching. they were always waiting for me.

I borrowed my hairstylist’s 1yo golden retriever to entertain Izzy.

Finally on way home to her after 11 days.
August 20, 2025 at 1:23 AM
Officially the longest I’ve been away from her since we met (7 days and counting).

Izzy walked across a Rockefeller’s grave, then immediately licked a toad. Feels ominous.

My neighbor did everything she could for the chicken Izzy and I found dumped on side of road in a cardboard box, including bringing her in every evening to watch detective shows. But she wasn’t built to last. RIP Poppy, we love you.

One year ago I adopted this wild baby monster after she bewitched me with her dramatic eye makeup from the pages of petfinder.

All the houseguests are gone, no more kids to play with in the creek. Now she has to listen to me rant about politics.

ALL walks are taking place IN the creek until further notice.
Here’s Izzy checking progress on the bridge my neighbor is rebuilding.

Izzy and her purple monster said to say hey.

Last week my dog and I found a chicken dumped on side of road in a cardboard box. My neighbor with an empty coop adopted her and named her Poppy. Now my dog loves the chicken. She barks angrily at all other chickens.

No, the big news today is I’ve been text-exchanging photos and anecdotes with the woman who adopted one of Izzy’s littermates.

There were twin blond schnoodles that looked just like golden long-haired mini doxies at the shelter open house the day I met Izzy. But the heart wants what it wants (a raccoon goblin).

My aunt said Bailey, “isn’t a water dog, doesn’t like to swim.” Just sent her his letter from camp.

(Izzy is leashed because she will run across road to harass chickens)

Night 7 of cousin Bailey’s visit: Izzy slept with one toe touching him.
May 27, 2025 at 4:34 PM
My aunt is visiting with her horseadoodle and Izzy’s in love.
