They wrote the manifesto 2 years ago, with no real knowledge of the country's economic situation, & before Trump screwed up the world economy. If they can't change things when confronted with today's reality, they're not politicians. Might as well vote for a manifesto to be implemented by robots.

It's not that I don't care - I don't see it as xenophobic. You do. Fortunately we're allowed to differ.

When Frenchmen say "I hate the English because of Mers-el-Kébir" they're being xenophobic. When they say "Bloody English sending us their weather" or calling me an English git, they're not. IMHO

It's an adjective. The same as people call me "lanky git" because I'm tall. It adds weight, the same as "fucking git" does.

The same as "Lanky git" does to me because I'm tall. Or "English git" because I'm English. And you have no idea how many times in the many decades of my life I've been called both, or the French equivalent during the ⅔ of that time that I've spent in France.
