It's strange to realize that "I" and the "sense of self," along with "inspiration", "soul" and a bunch of other things, is just a piece of jelly soaked in chemicals and electricity, floating in a tight solid box in complete darkness and silence
Also, I low-key think that Pennywise and Frankenstein's Creature (movie versions) have the same problem - they are too sexy to be scary.

I really like the idea of the reverse Metamorphosis (Kafka) where the insect awakens one morning to find itself transformed into a "regular human".
