Hi. I am a rheumatology fellow, here is current prices for pharmacies for Xeljanz as of Sept 30, 2025. I could prescribe this to patients today and this would be their cost without insurance for a 1 month supply of 5 mg Xeljanz (right) and 10 mg Xeljanz (left).

I think TrumpRx is still expensive.

Society has normalized school shootings in the U.S.

The shooting at a Catholic School near my sister's house in Minneapolis is just another example of how little care is given to the children in our country.

You don't really know the evil of the world until you are trying to protect kids from it.

Recommend American College Rheumatology website. Check out “medication guides”. May ask for member registration, which I think is free? If not let us know and #RheumSky may be able to help

Did y’all know that #NIH really impacts rural state health too. Look at these amazing stats from Arkansas showing NiH impact there.

Examined effect of increasing NIH funding from 2016-2022 and economic impact that had.

NIH grants = rural state economic growth.

Did y’all know that University of North Dakota got an $11 million NIH grant awarded in 2024, largest ever for institution.

Likely provided many jobs in area, as well as propelled scientific research. A overhead budget cut to 15% could really impact things….

Rural areas are affected, too

in Iowa, there is a bill that would bar people from suing pesticide makers for the cancer the pesticides cause them, so long as “EPA” approves their warning labels.

With cuts to OSHA, EPA, and other oversight groups, toxins & pesticide, could go unchecked.

They know pesticides cause ⬆️ cancer.

Hey Sharon, thank you for helping trainees find their footing. Patt, a late research study coordinator did that for me. Without her hiring me at age 18 for a work study job, introducing me to PI’s, I may have never worked in science. She changed my life. Like her, Your mentorship matters.

Yes. So much focus has been on Top 100 NIH funded institutions. Less focus has been on the other 2,400 places that get NIH dollars.

Like the Maternal American-Indian Rural Comm Health (MARCH) NIH grant in South Dakota. Or the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium.

I have a confession
.
.
.
I was an “overhead cost”.

I was a beaker washer, agar plate pourer, research secretary. I was paid by “overhead cost” fees. Loved it.

Those “overhead cost” jobs allowed this rural kid to become a physician.

Please tag how #OverheadCostJob impact u.

Abolishing OSHA will not make Americans healthier.
Abolishing the EPA will not make Americans healthier.
Many current standards are not upheld.

People most likely impacted will be blue collar workers, particularly in smaller businesses with little oversite.

Ya know the whole Bloodborne pathogens trainings we get?

We can thank OSHA for those.

There are also guidelines for exit doors, respiratory standards, hazard communications, electrical, workplace violence, etc.

Here is a list of OSHA's biggest cases, including what the corporations had to pay out.

Notice, BP oil, IMC Fertilizer O&G Industries, Samsung, CITGO petroleum, U.S. Steel Corp are top of list.

Notice: Fossil fuel industries are mega donors.
