Back from #Madrid, still reeling from seeing #Radiohead on night 2 (5 Nov). An amazing night, a wish fulfilled.

Glad to have visited ‘Ancient India - living traditions’ at the #BritishMuseum yesterday – a #Diwali treat for myself, before the exhibition ends this Sunday, 19 Oct (a bonus was that it was half price using our #ArtPass).
Great essay on the exhibition by @willdalrymple.bsky.social below…

Latest change in local university scene: Goldsmiths VC Frances Corner leaves with immediate effect, a year ahead of contract end and after a tricky time of pandemics, cuts & strikes (all while my daughter was UG there) www.gold.ac.uk/news/2025/vc...
This comes on top on Greenwich's merger with Kent.

The result is the biggest upset in Greenwich politics for a generation and follows a row over the Labour council's land sales in the ward.

Last night’s performance of Hamlet Hail To The Thief at the RSC in #Stratford-Upon-Avon was extraordinary. The staging, the actors but equally the musical melding of the iconic #Radiohead album with the drama of #Hamlet. Dark, moving and stylish.

Epic coastal walk from #Margate to #Broadstairs last week. 10km of sandy bays, cliff pathways, pubs (cider at Captain Digby Inn at #KingsgateBay), beachside cafes (ice cream at #Nāmaka on #StoneBay Beach) and fish/chips at The Mermaid at Broadstairs before the 4 min train (!) back to Margate.
