I paint Warhammer minis when I’m motivated. I also play video games | Fox | She/her/hers | Bi
Making some headway on my kitbashed tervigon, and I’m happy with the progress. Still a lot to go, and it’s gonna be a bit before it’s actually glued together and not held by sticky tack!

Decided to take a secret third route to what I’d originally planned, greenstuff part of a hind leg and cut off the attached bits from the psychophage leg, & put some bits under the sac to prop it up more and have the weight resting on that. Also magnetized a pair of the scything and crushing claws.

Here it is with the two sets of scything claws. If I glue the birthing sac to the base that’s load bearing enough. It’s a bloated beast, so it dragging itself through the terrain wouldn’t be out of place to me.

First time working with green stuff to turn some bits into a tervigon. Front legs are held with sticky tack for now as they’re not actually attached, just so I could get a sense of the thing once finalized. Was going to use 2 sets of claws for the torso, but one primed one is sorta load bearing

Made a ton of progress on my Norn Emissary, I can’t wait to see this completed!

Looking forward to doing all the detail and non-purple colors now!

Gave zenithal priming a go for the first time, with some minis from the Dawn of War: Onslaught box. Looking forward to painting them for my custom chapter!

My LGS had packs of Fallen Empires Magic the Gathering for $5, and I bought one for nostalgia’s sake. I bought so many of these as a kid, along with Homelands. I know it’s not good, but dang if this doesn’t bring back memories of begging my mom to go to my LGS after school to get a pack.

If turning around to take pics of signs that make you laugh is wrong, then I don’t want to be right. Took this one a few years back because at first glance it caught me off guard.

Started painting my Eightbound/Exalted Eightbound. It’s nice just putting the magnet arms back on them while the paint dries so it doesn’t stick to anything. So much more to go but it’s a good start, got the gold trim all done on 9 of them and then also red on 4 of them.

Flesh Tearers red over Retributor Armor is one of my favorite aesthetics, and part of why I love my World Eaters so much. It’s a process but I’m glad to see my army continue to come together! It took a while to magnetize everything on this Forge/Maulerfiend, but I wanted the option to run as either

Test model for my Skaven, still figuring out how I want to do them but I love these lil guys, yes-yes!

Making some progress on my squad, getting that red on all of them before I do any other details

Also I added a spike and a chainaxe to my master of executions axe for 30% more Khorneification!

Touched up the primer for spots that didn’t quite have full coverage. Can’t wait to get some red on these slaughtery buds!
June 8, 2024 at 11:47 PM
For comparison. I really like the glossy/shiny look of the red on the other from the contrast paint over gold, versus this flat look
May 28, 2024 at 3:20 PM
Really happy with how this is turning out. Test painted one primed red and then this one primed gold, and it’s been far easier to paint in the red on this one, than to try and paint the trim on the other.

Finally finishing my 10-man Hellblasters squad, got 4 more to go and then I just need to base and varnish them!
April 23, 2024 at 12:46 AM
Some details to touch up on, but I’m really happy with how this turned out, and have learned so much on how to improve with both my next repulsor and future projects using magnets. Every option is swappable via magnets, and it took a while but it was so worth it for future-proofing.
April 14, 2024 at 2:52 PM
That was a lot of magnets but I’m pleased with the results, got the weapon options magnetized as well as some of the cosmetic stuff like antennas. Just need to paint and then I’m done!
April 8, 2024 at 3:20 AM
Got some magnetizing done for my repulsor. At least I know what to do better on my next one, and future magnet jobs!
April 7, 2024 at 1:40 PM
Looking forward to getting some green stuff and magnetizing all my weapon options for this repulsor! In the meantime I’ll probably start working on my other one once I’ve finished everything but those bits.

Really happy with how this turned out. Still need to base it, but I’ll do that at a future date.
