Yeah, but “Don’t Stop Believing” is also linked to Chris Evans disrobing, so you win some, you lose some?

My solution for hanging cables in the closet without having to thread them through the bars is shower hooks plus elastic bands.

Klein’s 10-Fold seems to solve that problem by including only two screwdriver shafts, allowing to both be center-aligned. It gets to 10 tools by having nested reversible bits.

I use a Leatherman Wave, which has 4 screwdrivers, as well as scissors and 2 knife blades (the serrated blade is particularly useful for opening boxes).

But, the screwdrivers are the least useful tools. They’re not centrally-aligned, so they’re more difficult to turn than a regular screwdriver.

If you want to argue about things that didn’t need to be explained, the “kessel run in 12 parsecs” line is pretty close to the top.

Does it make sense that he’s using a measure of distance? No. But it’s not meant to; it’s flim-flam meant to impress the rubes. It says so right in the script…

Google will also tell you that Spike Jonze directed “This is America”.

(It was actually directed by Hiro Murai.)

PowerPoint is definitely more ubiquitous, but “slide deck”’s been in regular, published usage since around 2000, with a significant uptick around 2007.

I wonder if this is a Kleenex/facial tissue issue, where Microsoft started pushing more generic terms to avoid trademark dilution?

People cleaning deli slicers without turning them off.

(I’ve only seen it go badly once, but that was enough. I have no interest in waking up on grocery store tile again.)

Action Comics Annual #3 from 1991 stated that he was a US citizen. But, as I recall the justification was that the pod he arrived in was actually an artificial embryo, so he was technically born on Earth.

Kurt’s explanation is better, in my opinion.

Following your lead, a double-feature: The Losers & The A-Team. The Losers was basically an A-Team knock off in the first place, but is arguably the better film. But they’re both so dumb, but I am always entertained.

Texas law seems pretty straightforward in this regard. But, I imagine finding a company that’s willing to impound a crane may be difficult.

This is what Vidisco’s x-ray systems look like. This obviously isn’t what everyone is used to seeing for passenger screening and would have completely inadequate throughput for checked-bag scanning.
