I had never seen a grouse until this summer! I caught a video of a Sooty Grouse in Yosemite National Park while walking along the Panoramic trail. It was so awesome I got chills. Their call sounds a little like someone blowing over a large jug or bottle. #wildlife

Caught this little one right after I crawled out of my tent a couple mornings ago. It looks like an Apache (or perhaps Plains) Pocket Mouse. Mainly nocturnal, they often live right under these desert prickly pear cactuses. They have actual pockets! More info: www.nps.gov/whsa/learn/n....

Amazingly, the paragraph immediately following the ban provides funding for service member gamete cryopreservation. Essentially, “We can’t treat your child because of infertility risks, but we’ll pay for your infertility risk mitigation.” Incredible.
