Ah. Hardening takes 40-60 minutes depending on thickness once all the tape is applied and the water sprayed on. He was in there much longer than that - probably about 5-6 hours. Just to make sure 😈 and because it feels good. Not many people could do that!

You should. You'd look great cycling in your Xterra wetsuit

Cycling in your rainy day gear might work too?

Hopefully this tweet answers that bsky.app/profile/lock...
Thanks for the lovely comments. Here's how the @pupnitro.bsky.social's sarcophagus was made! Thanks for the help at the end, @ducttapelover123.bsky.social

A lot more time than I'd planned! About 50 man hours in total with @pupnitro.bsky.social helping one weekend too. I learnt a lot of skills along the way though.

When I realised how much work would be required to finish and smooth the outside, I considered building a box around the two halves, filling the space between the box and the fibre cast with expanding foam. It would have looked like a storage box but still fitted the sub inside.

Come on over!

Two of us are nearby thoughout, he's not gagged (this time) so can talk & other noises or prolonged lack of noise will be noticed. He can be out of. the Sarcophagus in secs & out the tape in a minute. It's warm but not oppressively so & it's physically similar to lying in tight clothes on a mattress

Compared to cycling on the road where I've been cold in spring in the same suit, I was surprised too. It's amazing if you weigh yourself before and after how much you (temporarily) lose.

I was copying @italrub.bsky.social ... How much did you sweat?
November 23, 2025 at 10:09 PM
Very nice!
November 22, 2025 at 6:49 PM
Thanks! Body temperature was a lot better than the previous ride in the wetsuit but I still sweated 1.5kg. It was pouring everywhere by the end!

Plenty thick enough and nicely windproof! I was surprised how few looks I got and no comments at all.

So many wetsuit pics from triathlon and scuba but this hike was so warm, comfortable and fetish in plain sight!

You're going a lot more than most! Keep doing it! It's clearly working!

Time to start watching films or entire series in one sitting?

100km not a hundred miles. I don't use legacy units. Have a look at mywhoosh. It's free and does a lot of what Zwift does

I have great respect for anyone who can do static cycling - it's so dull!
November 11, 2025 at 10:37 AM
Did 100km on Friday evening - but in lycra not neoprene. It's mostly bloody mindedness and choosing the right pace for the distance. A good pad helps too!

The stats for those interested... My HR is normally pretty flat after 10 minutes so that gradual rise is body temp related.
