So I'm configuring a folder that is more or less my home folder synchronized across Windows and Mac. Documents, Pictures, Music, etc, and Windows and Mac will both use it as default directories.

So the problem I was having when I *thought* it was working, was that I could see and interact with others, but others couldn't see or interact with me. Likely due to an improper configuration I had with my instance domain being different than my address name.
All fixed :3
