Yes. For the scientific community, there is no longer any doubt that anthropogenic climate change is a clear and present danger. But for the general public, which sadly has limited scientific literacy and is constantly bombarded with disinformation, nothing speaks louder than financial loss.

If anything is going to convince the American public to take climate change seriously, it's the widespread loss of homeowners insurance. Insurance companies estimate their risks carefully. Clearly, their data is telling them to get out of areas affected by climate-related natural disasters.
