@hosford42 I think about this a lot in connection with the insurance industry in the US. It's a lot easier to deny coverage to a dying kid when that kid is a number on a file, living in a faraway city, than it is when insurance companies were located in the community, and the decision makers […]

@f800gecko I've already switched from most commercial products to open-source alternatives over the past few years, so it's really just the basic OS I need to change now.
