This is my personal favourite figure in the painting.
A small man sits on the ground with an expression of fear, worry or incredulity on his face. He is bald, has a beard and his ears are large and pointed. He looks very worried and may be finding the scene around him to be overwhelming.

How about a little intro to my research area? Probably one of the best known artworks created in a psychiatric unit was those by Richard Dadd in Bedlam. Here we have some examples of his paintings (see alt text). These were painted during his years at Bedlam.
