3. Plans are documents. Roadmaps are about communicating what you're doing, where you're going, why and how. Roadmaps are not 'living documents' - they help people understand each other, collaborate and work through blockers and opportunities along the journey. That's when UX designs for humans.

2. Plans are often geared towards outputs - 'we did a thing and here's the resulting thing'. Roadmaps are steered towards outcomes - what did the things achieve, how does that map against goals, what meaningful impact did the work have? That gives you measurable results and maximises potential.

Thanks! Absolutely agree.

I'd even go further, saying people are still catching up to how the web landscape's changed in the past 20 years.

A website is not the start or end of a journey - that role has changed completely.

I don't blame those organisations - it's about shifting the mindset.
