The kittens made it into the air and are on their way to BWI! FWIW, Hobby airport was *fine*. In fact it was weirdly calm at the ticket counters and security (from what I could see). Man, these last 72 hours were A LOT. I'm still not quite calm yet.

There's a pointer here at my shelter whose owner was arrested and during the raid she was exposed to pepper spray. She's fine now and oh my gosh she's a charmer. No one ever came to claim her. Her name is Leah and she's at Harris County Pets.

One was born in a temporary camp in Germany to my Polish grandparents who had just survived the Holocaust. The other met my mom's sister during a semester abroad in Florence - he moved to the US with her and became one of the lead architects who designed the DC metro stations. And my family home!

Have you ever seen a baby horse "clacking"? It's how they show submission to their elders and it's adorably hilarious. My girl (the adult) was SO intrigued by this goober-like new addition to the barn.
