I listened to Taken at the Flood by Agatha Christie on a long drive to North Wales this week. I wasn't particularly keen on this book when I read it as a teenager because there is next to no Poirot, HOWEVER, on a second reading, I noticed several incredible things... /1

Okay, so today I've moved onto Umberto Eco's The Name of the Rose. I'm going to stick with it, but I do wonder how it ever became a bestseller. Can anyone who loves this book shed some light?

So exciting to visit Waterstones in Cardiff to see the paperback of The Trials of Lila Dalton in real life. Excuse the cheesiness but this is truly a dream! 🧀 💖

#TheTraitors prediction for episode 7: Fozia wins the death match. However, rather than realising that a traitor is unlikely to put their position in jeopardy by volunteering themselves for the death match, Anna and Alexander start to wonder if one of the four of them is a Traitor. /1

A page-turning police procedural with a groundhog-day-style time loop. An outcast detective, a mind-bending mystery, and a wonderful cast of supporting characters. This is a series I hope to see more of!

No better way to spend a Saturday evening than immersed in my own fictional world and then reliving one which I loved as a child (Prydain). The Welshman was unimpressed with the bastardisation of his culture. The pronunciation of Fflewddur being a low point.
