I’m on my way back from an Evening with Joe Wicks in that there London. It was an absolutely brilliant night and they surprised me by premiering a video they’ve made of me!! I was stunned!

I ordered some new dumbbells - 25kg each. The delivery driver put them on the floor. The youngest kid went in to pick the first box up and he said ‘it’s too heavy for one person’. And she picked it up and brought it in. She’s small but she’s mighty!

Today’s task - explaining why research methods are important for business and consultancy plans. And why ethics should be the underpinnings of all this. Mostly importantly - doing this without sounding patronising. #Academicsky

I lecture Doctoral students online on a Wednesday evening for 2 hours. They’re off doing an activity which they will feed back to the group in 20mins and I had a fleeting thought that I could get changed into my PJ trousers while waiting. I won’t. But I did think about it 🤣

The UK has voted to support assisted dying in England and Wales. There’s a long way to go before it’s law but as a family who warched a members terminal illness - this has made me very happy.
BTW - the family member would not have opted for assisted dying. But the choice is important.

Started the day well over 10,000 words over the word limit. So I’ve spent the morning putting 11,000 of them into a table. Table words don’t count. Now I have spare words for a conclusion & refs. Although I also have a 42 page appendix 😳

I’ve just started reading this book - complete ghost stories by M.R. James. The second story is based in a village 5 miles away from my house. I didn’t buy it in the local area. So now I’m a little freaked out. I’ve never read any story based so close to me let alone a ghost story!
