The apple emoji game is slowly driving me insane. Because first of all, what the fuck? That’s not even a real emoji that exists? And secondly, why is it so threatening?? At least I know what it is, though!

The Stokke Trippe Trappe is by far our longest running baby product we still own. The kid is 6 and I anticipate she’ll be using it for a few more years at least. And it will likely have decent resale value when we’re done. But dang, in black, the thing shows grime. (It matches our dining chairs!)

I just saw a Zionist’s story on my re-branded instagram account and about had a heart attack. Legit they say they wanted a free Gaza (from Hamas). Sorry WHAT now?

Inside me, there are two AuDHD gremlins: one who can sit at my sewing desk and work for 5+ hours without a break, and the other who wanders into the kitchen for a little treat while singing “I’m the snacks man” to the tune of “Tax Man” by the Beatles.

Ok, it’s been awhile, but I’ve gotten a new sewing machine and I’ve just been sewing!! This machine is so much nicer for free motion quilting, which I’ve been practicing on scrappy pillows. Not perfect for sure, but way better than before!!

I’m sorry, I haven’t responded to your texts because I’m busy building a robot army

I’m sorry, but ironing on a ham is so fucking funny to me. It’s like dressing a little torso 😭

We’re having a lot of fun over here, despite it all

The work is mysterious and important.

(Just kidding. This is Leona, a banana loving robot P.I. Can she actually eat bananas? No. But she loves them so much even her mouth looks like one. She scoots around solving mysteries. For example: why is Bob always yelling at volcanos?)

I’m coming up on three weeks of daily flossing and I’m never giving this habit up. Even in an apocalypse, I’ll be looting drug stores for floss. Not sure why this habit is finally clicking now (unemployment/burnout relief and Zoloft, perhaps?), but it’s INCREDIBLE. My teeth are FRESH AS HELL

I simply do not believe that occurred.

It’s bedtime, but I need to play just a *little* more Balatro.

Since moving to the PNW, I’ve seen my fair share of bald eagles. And almost every time I see them, they’re getting bullied by a murder of crows. It brings me so much joy to see a powerful, symbolic bird get absolutely terrorized by gangs of street smart scavengers.

Someone please help me, I’m being held captive by Blue Prince 😩

Halfway done the Pisces block. Not quite sure why I never basted to the paper before but it made a world of difference! #fpp #quilt #quiltblocks

I just finished up my scales, which is the first in an astrology series of fpp quilt blocks I’m designing! Absolutely no changes were needed to this perfect pattern. 😇 #libra #quilt #fpp

My kid, making a birthday card for a classmate in her “People Font”. Yes, she’s very cool in her Pokémon watch.

I spent almost all my free time today prepping my Specter FPP pattern to be available FOR SALE! I had a ton of interest in it on Reddit when I posted it there. Will drop the link when I get it up!!

Ok!! I finished the leaf block and turned it into a tiny pillow. (It still needs some touching up). Then tonight I printed up some new block designs and busted one out in a couple hours! Both made with fabrics I had on hand. #quilting #fpp

This is what adaptation and community care looks like.

There's a market for mask mandated events. Many people will show up if you create a safe space for them.

Masks, clean air and ventilation are the way forward!
My latest @kqedarts.bsky.social story about sold-out masks-required shows sums up many of my thoughts on the ongoing pandemic's fifth anniversary. Many of us are living in the actual new normal. It's never too late to start protecting your loved ones & self again! www.kqed.org/arts/1397262...
Why Masks-Required Concerts Still Sell Out in the Bay Area | KQED
COVID-conscious musicians and fans have created a tight-knit, DIY scene that’s all about accessibility.

Okay, I haven’t updated in a while but here’s what I’ve been quilting recently! Finished the big curved quilt top. Not sure if/when it’ll end up as a quilt. It was… a learning experience. Now, I’m working on this monstera leaf pattern I created. I would LOVE to make this as a huge ~60” leaf #quilt.
