As a former Hill staffer, I think they are taking the heat and preserving the issue to use against Republicans in the Midterms. I believe they lost this battle in order to win the war this time next year. We don't get rid of Trump by saving him from himself. Too many people are suffering.

Apparently he can tear down any structure he wants to, including the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, maybe the Capitol itself. He may do what the 9/11 hijackers couldn't accomplish.

We need to put more pressure on him to require him to follow the normal process of filing a lawsuit, then have the court make him prove his case before allowing a settlement of any amount. The case is frivolous and should be thrown out on a motion to dismiss.

Please sue to stop the DOJ from settling Trump's Tort Claims without judicial oversight. Surely you can find some cause of action that would require Trump to sue first, then let the court oversee what happens thereafter. I think all of his lawsuits are frivolous and sanctions are needed.

Someone should sue to enjoin the DOJ from making any decisions or settlement of this. They could require any settlement to be supervised by the Court after a suit has been filed. This is a super outrage.

The more speeches he makes the more we see it. Johnson said he did not watch the speech. The Dems need to broadcast it on a big TV screen somewhere in a public place so no one can deny seeing what is so obvious.

I don't want to see the case dismissed on this basis. I would rather have it dismissed because of lack of evidence and prosecutorial misconduct. otherwise Trump will take it as a win. Comey will be labeled as guilty without the chance to defend himself. Just not right.

They have defunded the federal police and defending a lot of local police as well through budget cuts. Where are all those who screamed when BLM was calling for defunding the police.

Is it possible that the indictment is so flimsy on purpose because they wanted to obey Daddy but at the same time not really pose any possible danger to Comey? Trump won't know the difference between a real indictment and a paper napkin. A 1L law student could get this thing dismissed.
