Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It’s relatively low stress and you don’t have to buy much. I like seeing my family and friends. Mostly I think it’s cool to set a day aside for giving thanks.

My hometown was old and had a lot of houses from the 18th and early 19th Century. The owners often needed permission from the town or state to make changes. These houses weren’t historically significant, they were just … old.

On this date in 2008 the Red Sox down 7-0 in the 7th inning of game 5 of the ALCS, score 8 runs in the final 3 innings, to stave off elimination. JD Drew hits a 2 run HR in the 8th and a walk-off single in the 9th for the victory. That season Drew hit .280, with 19 HR’s and a .927 OPS.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Red Sox Hall of Famer Mike Greenwell.
“The Gator” spent his entire career in a Red Sox uniform & was a beloved fixture of Fenway and Fort Myers. He gave so much to this organization, Lee County, & Sox Nation.
