Playing catchup as I meant to start this on the 1st, but sorted out my pre-advent (advent-advent? advent squared?) #ReverseAdventCalendar today. I’ll put a treat (at least) in each day, then send to the food bank at the beginning of December so there’s time for it to be given out before Christmas.

Dinner plans changed slightly when I realised the figs needed eating up. I’m not crying about it. 😋

I possibly have some older salt, but it’s too far back on the shelf to reach without climbing on something - and not a spice!

I bought these mostly for the tin, but they also contribute to my 5-a-day, right?

I don’t have pets, but here are the dogs-in-law. I hope you feel better soon.

I bought this in (I think) February so I would have it for the hot weather, put it away and forgot it - until last night. I hate being blown at by electric fans, so am very glad I remembered it!

Day 9: a queer book over 100 pages - I’ve recently enjoyed reading Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron

Day 8: a queer book with a happy ending - I was an embarrassingly long way through this book before it clicked in my UK English brain that “fall” was not about falling down (literally or metaphorically), but referred to autumn 😆.

The Fall of Whit Rivera by Crystal Maldonado

Day 6: I don’t have a book for today’s prompt, so instead here’s the third in a YA trilogy with queer characters that I’ve recently enjoyed reading. Defy the Night / Defend the Dawn / Destroy the Day by Brigid Kemmerer.

Day 5: a queer book where main character has a fun/interesting job - what could beat captain’s “clerk meets butler meets housekeeper meets batman” on a dirigible with crew including a ghost, werelioness, Templar-trained assassin, your twin brother and your (shape-stealing) best friend? #ReadingPride

Day 3: a queer book that has been on my TBR for too long - Vivi Conway and the Sword of Legend by Lizzie Huxley-Jones.

But although I’ve procrastinated on this, at least I’ll be able to read the rest of the series straight after! 🙂

Day 2: a queer book that reminds me of home - it’s about coming home and becoming a home - Romancing the Werewolf by Gail Carriger.
