The most striking thing about the LA protests is how many people just dropped everything to show up and yell at federal agents. There are people in suits, and carrying dogs, and wearing flip flops or bike helmets.

These are not people who planned to do this today. But there they are.

I don’t get how a bike lane and pedestrian-friendly infrastructure is being blamed for a driver speeding and losing control of their vehicle before hitting and killing a pedestrian. It seems like drivers are never to blame; something else always makes them drive dangerously.
