If I were offered a USS pension I’d literally bite their hand off. Instead I have to settle for getting 20% less than some of my colleagues on the same grade and doing the same work. It’s hugely demoralising.

Apparently stuff like this is negotiated locally. At least staff aren’t being hived off onto private contracts with REALLY shitty pensions.

I don’t really understand economics but wouldn’t putting money into creating more energy efficient homes create jobs and reduce bills?
