Made them; flavor - delish. I botched the wrappers, they stuck together so I broke them up in the pan. could skip that step to save a ton of time. I added too much oil too - forgot the vegan meat is oily: oh and I got vegan hotdogs instead of sausage and that’s better, already smells like keilbasa!

It would be interesting to try this with miyokos vegan butter and mozz

Will do - I have no food processor, one immersion blender, and few spoons, but maybe for the love of nostalgic polish food, I’ll persevere 😆

I wonder if an immersion blender could be enough - my hunch is yes! Thanks for sharing - I miss kielbasa too

Curious, did you make the paste or find it premade at the store?

My all time favorite dairy free swap is the miyokos brand mozarella in a block form - For me, the flavor isn’t as good for the pourable version, it just melts better. I love miyokos salted euro style butter too, and 1:3 cashews: water = perfect cream sub / ice cream base!

dried hibiscus has a lot of ingredient potential too - deliciously tart on it’s own after soaking in cold water, and it blends smooth at high speed

I'm thinking frozen peas would taste great blended until smooth with mashed potato type flavorings. I do this with broccoli a lot!

Cookie bars are an ideal bake for me - they feel like so much less effort than cookies somehow. If nyt has any non chocolate vegan ones, would love a gift link!

I forget where I got this, maybe bon app, but I love fork mashed chick peas with minced garlic, salt, lemon juice, and (for me, vegan) mayo, to taste. So. Good.
