Everyone working for the mayor elect is, in reality, working for the city. This is an artificial and yes, silly, line in the sand. Maybe that's something he can change while in office. Requiring an official-elect to raise funds to do their job is just inviting corruption.

It's a damn good thing nobody can lie in email, so we can take every email Epstein said at 100% face value. This is why I tell my elderly parents to go ahead and give their bank passwords to that Nigerian Prince, Bill Gates, and Elon Musk.

Wait, a mayor elect has to *raise funds* for their transition? That's crazy? Why wouldn't the city GIVE funds to the people's choice for the next mayor to fund the transition as a necessary expense of governing? Is the mayor-elect going to have to raise funds for salary too?

I never suggested the mods not arbitrarily apply rules. I'm saying, they applied the rules. I don't know if it's consistent with past modding decisions or not. You are the one claiming it's arbitrary.

Why don't YOU provide an example of when a Nazi incited violence and the mods did NOT suspend them? You are the one making the claim they are modding inconsistently. How about providing an example of such?

I am not familiar with the mod history. I will spend some time reading up about that. Did the pedos though, advocate violence?

But, the thing is, Trump is dumb and does whatever he thinks is best. He's doing so much damage to the economy right now and claiming it's great policy. What makes you think he won't do something very dumb vis-a-vis Mexico?

The problem with the Epstein emails is, how do we know he was being really candid and truthful . .and not telling people more or less what they wanted to hear?
Those are, to be sure, interesting statements, but I also don't think Epstein is a man of stalwart integrity.

I don't follow Nazis, I don't monitor Nazis, so I have no visibility into if they do or don't ban Nazis. But more power to you if you want to monitor them. I don't have the time.

I'm old enough to remember when in the late 90's and early 2000's the petro-sponsored media like Rush Limbaugh and Fox News, and petro-sponsored politicians demanded that the US couldn't take action on Climate change because China was such a big polluter. . . even as China was taking action. . .

What we should be trying to do is avoid falling even further behind. At least as a starting point. In any race, it's hard to catch up to the leader (sometimes possible, but hard), but the first step is to stop falling even further behind. . . Then hope they stumble of their own accord.

I think BlueSky just enforced their terms of service, and if you want them to retain the legal right to enforce ToS against Nazis, they also must enforce ToS against everyone in order to not have someone in court claiming selective enforcement.
