In January we asked the city to significantly improve management of snow and ice to improve safety and accessibility. The city made some real time improvements over the winter and we are pleased to see a presentation tomorrow about further upgrades.

Some good news in the City Council packet for Monday’s meeting: the city is planning to purchase 2000 Holiday Drive to use as a low-barrier homelessness shelter.

The Rivanna Trail’s Loop de ‘Ville Trail Festival is coming up on Saturday, September 27th.

There are many events, including short and long distance hikes, runs, and mountain bike rides. There will be 7 aid stations around the 20 mile loop with snacks and drinks.
