Great programme, with speakers from Ghent, Brussels, Oslo, Dublin, Mannheim and Innsbruck who reflect on memory and translation in literature on the Holocaust, the Algerian War of Independence, the Chilean dictatorship, the Bosnian War and on the translator as a guardian of memory.

In less than 2 weeks the Int. Conf. of the German Assoc. of Spanish Studies will kick off at the Univ. of Hamburg. Our project is connected with section 14: "Violencia, memoria y traducción", dir. by J. Ferrer Calle, V. E. Gerling, C. Jünke.
