the other day i streamed for 3 hours without game audio the entire time so i'm pivoting to building a script i can launch stuff with and it'll automagically set up an OBS audio input for it

today we start the project of building an algorithm to strip the stuff LuaJIT's C variant doesn't like out of C headers. should be,,,, relatively easy? i think it'll mostly just be identifying nodes that wont parse, i think LuaJIT supports constant expressions so i wont need to build an […]

i've got a lot of criticism for copyright/IP laws particularly as implemented here in the US but i am beyond glad that the way it's set up leaves space for things like the Z64 decomps and Ship of Harkinian. i genuinely believe them to be some of the great works of the human species. not high up […]

now that i can successfully parse z64.h i'm going to take a short break and then start work on banging the CST into a nice AST, then after that i can write a program that converts headers into LuaJIT FFI definition modules

0.657MiB of C header successfully parsed 😤 it takes 4 minutes to do it but there's a lot of optimization work on the table and this is for an FFI generator thing so speed isn't a huge concern once i'm satisfied with the output

parsing output of preprocessing z64.h is now at 76.5% 🥳 so close i can taste it. then i need to bang on the grammar until it outputs something actually usable right now it's the world's worst CST and completely opaque

tempted to pivot to building a simple graphical debugger for grammar parsing because it's gonna make it a lot easier if i can just step through and visually see what it's doing
