If someone claims that they are being abused, they should be removed from their alleged abuser immediately. So why do so many things meant to protect victims, like CPS or the police, essentially just give the potential perpetrator a warning? This is a sincere question. What is the logic behind that?

People from the country always look at you weird when you say you want to move to the city, and it's just like, I already have a hard time getting off my ass to go somewhere instead of staying inside all day. I can't just stay somewhere where nothing's going on.

A co-worker offered to help me move into an income-based apartment but with the cuts being made to section 8 and the current political climate, I don't feel comfortable moving out.
