My latest hand embroidery, done for an octopus-loving friend. The pattern is a freebie from DMC with some elaboration by me. The fabric was indigo dyed by me at Kira's kickass indigo party. I'm pretty happy with how it all came out!

This is easily the best photo I've managed to get of these two. It's like trying to photograph Bigfoot. Honeycrisp is the one up close on the cat tree; Pippin is up on the catwalk.

I've started a small cross stitch pattern. After a history of regular hand embroidery, it's breaking my brain a little. I've done some blackwork, which uses a lot of similar counting nonsense, but arrrgh. We'll see how it goes.
