next i am going to try and change my brake fluid. then i will learn how to change the motor oil. then I'll figure out whether it's bad that the previous owner never, ever changed the transmission fluid

it also flatly refuses to let you hoard items. you can only use one action per turn, but you can use as many items as you like. so even though it's hard to find a Golden Bullet, you still might want to use it on a normal enemy if it means you can take them down in one turn.

one thing i really like is that you are really encouraged to "break" parts of the game. you can only TALK to monsters after you reach the 1/3 mark, but one character loses progress on death. and it's possible to lose so much progress that you carry the TALK option back to the beginning. cool

each character has a strange little puzzle-focused minigame that fills in some of the story, and these are mostly very different from the "main" game. one requires you to figure out 3-number sequences; one requires you to beat a series of battles with a limited moveset/inventory.

i have stronger opinions about the browser idle game Progress Knight Quest than i do about all three Tomb Raider games plus 2018 God of War. they are opiate to me. find hidden totem. hit green crow. get new arrow.
