The Classic Doctor Who channel on Pluto is playing a Fourth Doctor story, but the closed captions are from a Seventh Doctor story with Ace. I believe it is Curse of Fenric. How does that happen?

It was a tough choice between that and this one

What's your sign?

June's #fountainpenlineup. I didn't get to write enough with May's pens. Maybe more this month! I was surprised to find that I don't really have a lot of bright red pens. See the alt text or the first comment for the names of the fountain pens. #pridemonth

Can confirm. GenXers like me, raised in evangelical churches, were explicitly shown this scenario in the movie A Thief In The Night to scare the, um, "hell" out of us.

It certainly led to more than a few nightmares of mine over the years.

My mom was one of those. She didn't exactly refuse medical attention, but this is what she told me in 2020 when I expressed concern that she, a high-risk person, was going out unmasked. She did eventually get COVID, and eventually died -- I believe COVID's long-term cardiac effects caused it.

One week ago. Feeling a little down today because I'm not, y'know, instantly better. I know intellectually this is stupid, but emotionally I'm struggling with everything. Anyway, 7 days in, who knows how many to go?

I don't think I've seen this TSA logo before. It sure reminds me of the Gilead flag, though

-- even the original there doesn't look like her... because it is after she lost her teeth and got an ill-fitting set of dentures that made her actual face look 'uncanny valley' in itself.

(This video still is how she looked when she was young and healthy and hanging out at Dick's on Broadway.)

So, my sister died a couple of weeks ago. There weren't a lot of recent pics of her for reasons. My niece was setting up a memorial graphic for her, and a friend offered to take one pic that Barb tolerated and AI it to use in the graphic. Here's the original and the AI version --

I 3D-printed this yesterday and I LOVE the way it came out. It's a fidget thing that looks like a flower and can sit on a "stem" and vase designed to hold it. The model was designed by 3DPMom, at makerworld.com/en/models/20... #3dprinting

I realized tonight that one of the characteristic smells of the #1990s that is mostly gone now is the smell of a burning moth in a halogen "ubiqui-lamp" (torchiere) #genx #asgx

Basically, the colors work together because they already do in the photo. (There are some additional colors in the image because of layer mode effects, etc.)

This also works for choosing a palette for interior decoration! #interiordesign #interiordecoration #color #colour
