I was referring to the tariffs in the article. I would be ok with a tariff policy that supports US manufacturers and workers and I said in my first comment the companies that benefit should be made to offer some affordable options. I never said trumps whole tariff policy was good.

The article is dealing with full cars not parts of cars. Obviously a smart tariff policy is designed to help domestic manufacturing. Stop letting your hate of musk eat your brain. Tariffs can be good if designed well. The EU puts tariffs on foreign cars because helping manufacturers is good.

This is true but the tariffs in question are regarding the sale of fully manufactured cars, so they are not referring to the parts, although obviously some of the across the board tariff proposals would which I would be against.

No it isn’t. All. Cars manufactured away from the US will have tariffs. Cars made in the US will not. ford, Gm, etc will not be effective as long as those cars are made in the US
