I saw a person was recently arrested for impersonating an ICE agent. They knew he was fake because he respected people’s civil liberties and allowed for due process.

It is interesting that as the last generation to live through a world war dies off, the closer we seem to be to the next one.

Free speech is the cornerstone of a free democratic society. If people cannot state their opinions for fear of prosecution then democracy has failed.

The principle that freedom of speech is an inalienable right shared by all mankind is the foundation of the US and what it means to be American. If someone doesn’t believe in that principle I would support having their citizenship revoked

Mahmoud Khalil is the perfect illustration of why almost all speech needs protection. The pendulum swings. When any administration gets to decide what is hate speech or disinformation then any speech can become illegal. Free speech for all. I may not like what you say but I will fight to protect it.

I don’t understand this first amendment argument around forcing adult website to do age verification. Why shouldn’t they do age verification if the content is only legal for adults. I get that some states passed laws requiring draconian age verification but verification on its face is good.

Why would anyone of talent take a job with the federal government right now? People work for the government because, although it normally pays less, it has better stability than the private sector. Stability is out the window. Go get that bag people.
