Yoshi's Island. I feel like core Mario titles continue to innovate and expand upon the ideas of the series and stay fresh, but they have struggled to move beyond how amazing the original Yoshi game was.

You nailed it, this was the reason I couldn't get excited about SMT5. I loved Nocturne but I didn't want to play what was almost the same game setting and story framework again.

This feels like clickbait, but Zygarde's forms are references to Loki (Zygarde 100%) and his children Fenrir (Dog Form 10%) and Jormungandr (World Serpent Form 50%). It is rare we get a Pokémon nowadays that doesn't have 2-3 references or puns in their evolution designs.

The in-gane art design style of HM64 and Ogre Battle 64 is one of my favorites of all time. I want so badly for a developer to attempt this cute/simplified 3D sprite style in a modern game!

Despite never having a Sega Saturn, I'd have to pick Blue. LttP, Chrono Trigger, and FFVI are way too formative for me. I need the lead-in to the years of PSOne JRPGs to exist.

Something really clicked for my daughter at about 7 and a half. But she also has been really into reading high fantasy fiction, so I feel like that goes hand in hand with a lot of popular gaming.

Im really excited to see a follow-up on the story of AZ and Floette, and I'm so glad they are front and center from the beginning!

It's exceptional. The story has three branching paths, and you eventually want to play them all. Imo, the best one is the route where you begin by making a terrible choice, and your character has to learn to grow and atone from start to finish. I think you'd love it!

Any playthrough of LttP when you finally get the golden sword, and the first time you swing it. The swing sound effect is so much deeper, and it just feels like it is cutting the air like hot butter!

I haven't played these until so long, but i definitely still listen to the OSTs! Especially love the final battle track against Blue in the first game.
