While the season is often celebrated with joy, it can also bring stress, anxiety, and sadness. Many face relationship challenges, unemployment, financial struggles, and poor health. It's a tough time for many—so check in, lend a hand, and show you care and are there.

It's heartbreaking to hear about the passing of director Rob Reiner, especially under such tragic and unexpected circumstances. In memory of his great contributions to the film industry, which of his works is your favourite?

On the 14th of Dec 1861, Prince Albert, consort to Queen Victoria, died.
This mourning dress was worn by Victoria after the death of another Albert, her grandson, who died from a flu pandemic in 1892.
She was just 4ft 8 inches when she wore this, having shrunk in later years.

Do not resist pain. Allow it to be there. Surrender to the grief, despair, fear, loneliness, or whatever form the suffering takes. Witness it without labelling it. Embrace it. Then see how the miracle of surrender transmutes deep suffering into deep peace.

On the 14th of November 1840, the French artist Oscar-Claude Monet was born. 🎨
He was known to have painted at least 2,000 works in his lifetime.
Monet, who was a lover of nature, is considered the father of impressionism, with the term deriving from his painting, "Impression, soleil levant."

It was 21 years ago today, on the 14th of November 2004, that the first episode of #NorthAndSouth aired. This iconic story of love set against the backdrop of Victorian inequality was a huge hit, receiving international acclaim, and its perfection continues to enchant us.

The #Brontës used fertile, dramatic settings, like the #Yorkshire moors, to convey their characters and themes. If each sister could write a novel set in a different location—like a bustling city or tropical island—how would their stories and characters change?

Books fall like leaves in autumn's glow,
Each one tells a tale we long to know.
A gentle breeze shakes stories free,
Whispering wisdom beneath the tree.
With a rake, we gather the past,
In every page, memories last.

In the pages of a book so vast,
A child climbs, escaping fast,
But the phones, they reach, they try to pull,
The world of screens, relentless, full.
A hand extends, a silent plea,
To break free and just be free.

She made him feel safe.
He made her feel equal.
She made him feel hope.
He made her feel bold.
She made him feel honourable.
He made her feel respected.
And when their mouths married, they tasted forever.
