I’m interested in nourishing our bodies, minds, and spirits. I think that often starts with listening and curiosity. My posts will span politics to recipes, but in my neurospicy mind, that totally connects.
So all the DEI folks at my work were just fired. Guess what they can’t get rid of though? The culture. Our knowing. They think they are breaking us by breaking up a program, but we aren’t cogs.

If I could eat my feelings today, it would take all 24 hours and a lot of Mexican food.

Day 1 of no TikTok and I’m trying to read the news articles my phone suggests, only to be asked to pay to read them. I’m not able to pay for these subscriptions, and frankly won’t for ones controlled by oligarchs. Pay for brainwashing?! I’m safer relying on what I already know.

It’s telling that my dreams about winning the lottery and how I would spend the money now involve buying back democracy.

We need BS-translating AI. In the professional world, every thing takes ridiculous amounts of tact & elitist coding to circle an issue 100x to ‘elicit change.’ If directness isn’t socially accepted, then we can get a hashtag AI blurb that cuts to the chase. Bonus pts for calling out narcissists.

For some reason UTIs are hitting my family hard and it makes me look at how our food routine changed during the holidays. Time to drop the sugar and carbonated drinks. Add the cranberry, fiber, and probiotics.

I feel safer in a bathroom with a trans woman. How many women pretend to look at a piece of art so the man following them enters the men’s room first? Check to see you aren’t alone? Take a buddy? I’m worried about the toxic alpha bro not my sis. She is gonna help me out.

If you’re the receptionist at a medical office, look for & use preferred names. Communicate preferred names to the staff. And when someone asks you kindly to consider how you may avoid outing people to keep them safe…please feel some morsel of empathy. Waiting rooms harm people by using dead names.

All I want for Christmas is a secure democracy in the USA. That generational wealth they call freedom and equal rights, tied in a constitutional bow for my children.

Well, my body is in pain today, and pain tends to talk louder than cravings, so I am back to my GF diet. The good news is there is a diet that helps me. I know how much medication I need without this natural remedy. I’ve been there—not going back for as long as I can help it. Listen to your body!

Anyone else with pattern recognition losing the ability to sleep? My nightmares consist of the juxtaposition of genocides and civil wars and wondering if anyone would read a hand-written journal, or if the whole thing would just be summarized by AI in two sentences.

I follow a gluten-free diet 98% of the time, as it helps me control inflammation. But today I had a giant bagel because if I was going down, then I was going in a blaze of carbohydrate glory. Also, I had just advised a client on how to limit cravings. I think I sometimes rebel on their behalf. 🤦‍♀️

This evening my mom roasted 8 different veggies and blended them into a soup. It was delicious, and now 3 hours later I realize my three kids ate it without blinking. They aren’t picky, but 8 veggies at once is parent goals.

So if we remove transgender people from bathrooms, sports, military, and doctors’ offices… you can basically substitute “transgender people” for every where it says “Jews” in this excerpt from “Hitler’s Willing Executioners.”

The GOP’s treatment of LGBTQ+ (esp. trans) people and immigrants is not a ‘throw spaghetti against the wall and see what sticks.” It is “keep throwing until it works.” Remember “solutions” are code for genocide. It was over a decade of policies that built up a tolerance for killing people.

To be clear: removing soldiers who are trans or coercing separation in order to care for their dependents is designed to: 1) Removes allies & empathy when martial law is used to attack trans civilians; 2) paint trans people as not patriotic since they don’t [can’t] serve.

The move follows passage of the NDAA in the House of Representatives, which will be the first national anti-trans law in recent years.

On a scale of introverted, even when I sit alone in a room at work, just the sound of so many people around me makes me want to dig a hole through the concrete floor.

When I listen to what people eat everyday, I learn that the folks who put more effort into their side dishes than the main course are the ones who by far eat healthier.

I talk to a lot of folks for my job. The percentage of men > 60 yo that lament their divorce and Biden in the same 10 min. stretch of conversation no longer feels ironic.

I’ve been reading “Hitler’s Willing Executioners,” and for more than just to learn the GOP’s game book, but to better grasp how our situation is different. Where can we intervene earlier or more powerfully? Voicing dissent on social media is definitely a big difference. What are your ideas?

If your body says ‘feed me’ after 8 PM, ask:
1) How hungry am I on a scale of 0-10? (Honor hunger-prevent it tomorrow)
2) When did I last have caffeine? (Some folks take up to 12 hrs before affect is gone)
3) Did I go too low-carb at dinner?
4) Am I dehydrated?
5) Is this a stress response?
