On the way home from a really great CAZyme GRC. Lots of v interesting talks, a poster prize for Jean-Lou, karaoke, lake swims, beers, catching up with friends, and a lot of responsibility in 2029 when I co-Chair the meeting!

The cake is done and ready for tomorrow’s party! We won’t talk about the bit where I iced most of it before I realised it was backwards/upside down and was not a number 6 at all. Fixed with some cake surgery 😅

It’s that time of year again. R’s birthday party is this weekend so I’m prepping for the cake. His theme this year is Mario kart, mostly bad guys. Starting small!
