Tree crew is moving on to the stand by the road now. They don’t expect to block access, and think they’ll be done by around 2:30.

Best part of using the same co for 10+ years? They say they love working in my forest bc it’s fun. ❤️❤️❤️

Orphaned socks make excellent yarn bags! This one is for my traveling socks, an ongoing project that lives in my backpack and gets a lot of rough handling. Nobody likes untangling yarn. (This sock is a dimensional traveler. No one in this house had this pair and we don’t go to laundromats! 👀)

Electric done, tree removal in progress! Little bit of vehicle shuffling needed but that was expected and no big deal.

@premeemohamed.com I loved The Butcher of the Forest! Staring pensively at my backyard.

Yesterday I took donations to a local thrift shop and looked for art supplies. I found this adorable set - a supplies box/easel THAT I CAN COLOR. 😍 I’ll seal it before it gets used forever.

Scored some perfect organizing bins to impose order on fiber/yarn chaos too!

My in-laws are in Kerrville. They’re fine, but the trailer park behind their house (double wide trailer) is completely gone. We were planning a trip to visit and renting a cabin in that park.

I did some DIY on the keychain @irisflorafawn.bsky.social sent with my bracelet! It was too pretty to just be a zipper pull on my knitting project bag. Now I have matching earrings and a cool addition that I can wear with all sorts of other Pride jewelry in my collection! 😍🤩😎

My custom Bi Pride bracelet from @irisflorafawn.bsky.social is here! With bonus matching keychain!

Awesome experience ordering and it fits perfectly. I love it so much! No doubt I’ll be getting more from Iris and you should too. 😍🤩

Acrylic, by me, ~2015.

A mashup of Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Nightmare Before Christmas. Paint and Sip class with friends. I was at the back of the room and saw the moon and stars as smeared orbs rather than the dashed technique of Van Gogh. I love it so much.

Alt text tutorial! Got an image with text? Here’s how to make alt text in seconds!

It took me about 10 seconds to make those screenshots, and another minute or so to add the alt text captions.

Feel free to share widely!

Probably my daily carry socks!
June 19, 2025 at 3:57 AM
I usually have several plain socks for donations being knitted. One on the couch, one in my daily carry bag, etc. I can never remember what sizes (number of stitches) they are from the first to the second. So I made stitch markers in the usual sizes! Got the number beads but had everything else 🧶🧦
