📃🚪"Legislative amendment through the back door" - find below our legal analysis of the German ministries' directive ordering the authority under the Supply Chain Act NOT to make use of several of its enforcement powers. ⏭️ Long story short: There are considerable doubts about its legality.

📚 Recommended reading for all those interested in objectivizing again the discussions about supply chain laws, instead of following polemic debates about "bureaucratic monsters": @ecchr.bsky.social's report "2 Years of the German Supply Chain Act" out now in ENG! 👉 www.ecchr.eu/en/publicati...

Out now: @ecchr.bsky.social's 2024 annual report – including a piece by Annabell Brüggemann and me recapitulating the attacks on LkSG and CSDDD over the course of last year. Sadly, our analysis proves true all the same (or even more so) for what we’ve seen of 2025 so far. The fight continues!
