Does anybody know if visually impaired students GCSE exams measuring questions are made to whole cm or half cm due to their rulers not having mm on? And similarly angles?

Already seeing progress. They wanted to turn it into a competition, I have agreed. Rewards for most correct and for coming up with cards I've not thought about that work well enough for me to want to add it to my collection.

#ALevelMaths I have started doing revision flashcards with the students as they enter to highlight little marks that they often miss. I think it's working well.

#alevelmaths, C.O.M. for centre of mass or conservation of momentum? Both? Neither? I never use C.O.E. for conservation of energy....anyone else?

I've been allocated the task of helping with possible maths questions an Architect might receive in interview. Does anyone think they have some great tough Geometry problems that could work for this? #Alevelmaths

Anyone managed to see the edexcel GCSE foundation paper today? I could really do with a topic list. #mathstoday

In #mathstoday we did shortest distance from point to line (AS Further Vectors) to see if birdwatchers could spot bird (critiquing model). One student opted for simultaneous equations with line and sphere. It was lots of fun trying to spot the error. #alevelmaths

I've had students with average point scores lower than 4 walk away with a 4 in maths and still say they are bad at maths, why is that? Why not I'm bad at Geography or whatever else they have 2 or 3 in?
