I hate to admit it, but that I’d love to see 12” of snow this weekend.

Not that I remember. It was peeled and cut into sandwich meat and hidden between bread slices by the time I got it.

Mom was a Great Depression baby. The things she considered “comfort food” very much reflected that upbringing. I assume cow tongue was cheap eats.

It became a running joke — on a first date, ask if your date ever experienced head trauma as a child. 😉

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Wilma.

Yes. Thanks.

Back in college, I worked at a factory that made the crusts for Tombstone pizzas. Still a great pizza. I hope it was a great meal!

Because it’s the beginning of every horror slasher movie made since 1970!

My husband discovered multi-view and pairing his headphones last month. Marital bliss has been restored!

Killer Clown, they called him.

We did all kinds of killers in one of my summer classes. (Court reporters, we are drawn to that, y’know.) I read articles to my students about JW Gacy, Willy Pickton, Andrew Kehoe, and others. Something many of them had in common — brain trauma in childhood.

I have washable wool shoes with that name. I never dreamed it was an actual place. Thanks for the tidbit!

Glad I already have my lifetime pass so I don’t have to see his face on it for the rest of my life. jfc

My husband grimaces every time I tell the story of Mom digging out the pressure cooker in winter to make “mystery meat” sandwiches. By the time we discovered they were cow tongue, we already liked them too much to care.

Now I’ve decided to keep him, I’ll get him a wedding ring. I’m still under the 2-year post-wedding mark. 😉

I didn’t know they picked one mineral per year for the show. I’ll have to look into that. We tend to buy everything that strikes us. Had to make two trips to the UPS Store in 2024.

Coming back to Tucson in February to finally get the hubs a wedding ring at the Gem & Mineral Show. It’ll be nice to return to the tiny house at Cat Mountain Lodge.

Probably another trip to Phoenix and Tucson with friends for Spring Training and hiking in March.

That’s how you know it’s the finest of cranberries — the perfectly symmetrical lines around the outside.

Happy Thanksgiving, Baja!
