I absolutely hear what you’re saying. Symbolically Biden and Harris are still important. I would prefer to see a focus on current leadership who have some measure of power to speak up and stand up. They need to be out front and loud in their leadership.

I struggle to accept that they owe us anything. The Biden’s have lived public service for decades - they can walk away knowing they did what they could. Harris put everything into a historic campaign and lost. It’s not on black women to save us - she and others tried.

Many municipalities do send billing for EMT services however they often do not send these to collections if they aren’t paid - called soft-billing. They take payment from the insurance companies and write the rest off with no consequence. It’s worth checking what they do in your area.
