This initiative is not competitive. It's a public thank you to those at the University of Edinburgh who make research better for everyone.

Who has positively impacted your research experience? Who has helped you navigate challenges or thrive in your role? Who has shared opportunities, or made things more inclusive, accessible or navigable?

Behind each of these examples are people. Our colleagues who put time and effort in to making our working environments better

However, this means our focus is often shifted away from the pockets of really good stuff. The inclusive, ethical and sustainable practices, supportive environments and transparent processes. These examples are important too and we can learn from them.

When we talk about #ResearchCulture, it's often about the less positive side of things. Which is important, as it can help us identify the problems in order to make positive changes.

🕸️ I've met researchers, students and research enabling & adjacent staff and noticed how often similar themes such as community building come up. We've been connecting people with similar interests together and I'm excited to see how this web of culture change leaders grows

I provide support to potential funded applicants to help shape their ideas into sustainable and receivable culture change projects capable of leaving a legacy.
