At the Bernie/AOC Fighting Oligarchy Tour stop at Gloria Molina Grand Park in DTLA. A new artist named Joan Baez just left the stage, I think she’ll go far. This video was from early this morning, a Latino alt rock band from El Monte called the Red Pears.

Racist shitlibs still making ignorant comments scapegoating Latinos for the Trump victory, assuming the ones who voted for him (American citizens) can’t speak English and of course all have immigrants in their families to worry about.

Multi-generational American Latinos exist. Tell the racists.

Why does this remind me of this scene from OG Dune? Because they literally squeeze this wealth from workers and the tax paying public while we scratch each other’s eyes out over the fucking scraps. Absolute folly.

Do they wonder why we choose the bear? “Hey, I made a joke about screenshotting and reposting everything you do because you joked about deleting your own posts, isn’t that funny? That’ll show you! Totally not stalkerish or invasive, right? Within my rights, yes? Haha?”

Acting as CAPE union VP today, attending LA Co. Sup. Janice Hahn’s Oath of Office ceremony in DTLA at the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Admin. Sup. Hahn has long been a champion for working people, private/public sector unions, and was instrumental in the return of Bruce’s Beach to its owners rightful heirs.

If Dems need some material to consider in pondering Latino outreach that’s not the same anemic attempts as always because you consider us a bloc, I’d recommend three books so far, Finding Latinx and Defectors by Paola Ramos, and Our Migrant Souls by Hector Tobar. More details in the alt text.

So this happened last week on our local LA NBC affiliate. That’s me on the end with the mask. They did a whole story using pics we took registering voters on Natl. Voter Registration Day, I went w/my friend from Riverside Pride. Next thing I know, I’m outed as gay on local news. I’m an ally. 😂🏳️‍🌈🤷🏽‍♀️🫶🏼

At the CADEM Executive Board Meeting in Visalia, the local hosts are excited because it’s the first ever time in the Central Valley. The speakers are educating us about the diversity of the immigrant experience of the valley. Latin America, West Africa, Laos, India, etc. This region is overlooked.
