we’re about to find out if loving SimCity makes you a better mayor

Mamdani was asked in 2002 by NY Mag what he wanted for Christmas and said SimCity 3000

I want to report some good news from LA:

ICE picked a hotel in Pasadena to be their headquarters for this side of the city. The residents of Pasadena (myself included) would not stand for this and protested all yesterday in front of the hotel until, eventually, the hotel kicked out ICE!!

The innovations would have * elevated * the culture, the format, the medium
Some day, post NDA, I will talk a lot about what we were trying to do, not only with the IP, but also about the innovation we were trying to push through, and the production practices we thinnk were required to execute on these things.
When they shut down the Star Wars FPS, we got to see this game up close and talk to their dev team, because they could take on some of our folks. What they were building was ambitious and special and I was legitimately excited to play it someday, even if they'd only done 1/4 of what they planned.

i didnt realise until i started seeing the linkedin posts, but a lot of the people laid off from the black panther cancellation are s-tier video game talent. artists and writers especially, absolute best in the business.

andrew wilson views video games as an obstacle to making money.
