After a little bit of touching up and advice from others on more Unity-friendly changes, I had this fully functioning and in a state that was easy to test with, scaling the size of each tile and making it easy to create things that looked different (5/5)
If you have suggestions, please comment!

And then the next day was spent fixing all of this, between work and school, and adding finishing touches to how it looks, with these three different progress pics (4/5)

200 lines of code and two days of wracking my brain because I hadn't coded this much in a while later, I made something that looked like this, which, uh, isn't ideal for sure, but it's a start at least (3/?)

With that process originally looking funny, because it had all sorts of gaps, so I needed to take a different approach to draw individual pixels for scaling, creating for loops to draw pixels in what some people I know have called some hellish looking code

My goal was to make the ships customizable by creating a sort of coordinate grid of resources attached to it, and connected those resources through additional pixels, as pictured. Originally I did this with a basic 3x3 system, however this was too small and I made it bigger, which was a pain (2/?)

Made some procedurally generated planet sprites for my space trader game I'm working on #gamedev #space #tradergame #indiedev #unitydev
PS any advice or input is welcome
